1. Who we are

Essensa Ltd (“Essensa”, “we”, “us”) is a private concierge and lifestyle management house. Our registered office is at 14 Mount Street, Mayfair, London W1K. You can reach us through the contact page.

References to “you” are to any visitor to this website and, where the context allows, to members and applicants for membership.

2. Use of this website

You may browse this website for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce or redistribute its content, or use it to build a competing product or service, without our written permission.

We may change or withdraw any part of the website at any time. We try to keep the site accurate, but the information on it is general and does not constitute advice or an offer of services.

3. Membership by invitation

Membership of Essensa is by invitation and subject to review. A request for access, an application or a place on the waiting list does not create a membership or any obligation on our part to offer one. We admit a limited number of members each year and may decline any request without giving reasons.

Where we offer membership, the relationship is governed by a separate membership agreement setting out the tier, fees, term and scope of service. If there is any conflict between these terms and a membership agreement, the membership agreement prevails for that member.

4. Our services

Essensa arranges goods, services and experiences on behalf of members with third-party suppliers such as hotels, airlines, restaurants, venues and specialists. Unless we say otherwise in writing, we act as an agent in arranging those services, and the contract for the underlying service is between the member and the supplier.

Our own service is the time, expertise and access of our lifestyle managers. Third-party costs are passed on at cost unless a membership agreement provides otherwise. Availability is never guaranteed: some things cannot be arranged, and we will always say so rather than promise otherwise.

5. Requests, changes and cancellations

Suppliers’ own terms, including deposits, change fees and cancellation charges, apply to anything we arrange on your behalf. We will tell you about material terms before we commit you to them, and we will not commit you to a cost without your authority.

6. Conduct

We ask members to treat our staff and our suppliers with courtesy, to give us accurate information, and to use our services lawfully. We may suspend or end a membership where these expectations are not met, in accordance with the membership agreement.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers, for events outside our reasonable control, or for any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breach. Our total liability to a member in respect of our own services is set out in the membership agreement.

8. Intellectual property and photography

The Essensa name, wordmark and the design and text of this website belong to us or our licensors. Photography on the site is drawn from openly licensed sources; the authors and licences of every image are listed on our photo credits page, which forms part of these terms.

9. Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
